This work was finished on the 28th of March (I'm staggering my image updates because I am having a show at the Apache Cafe and I want to encourage people to foot over there and see the work for themselves in person).

It's titled, "Ossoluta", a variation on the word assoluta, meaning, "absolute" or "supreme".

I really liked going through with leaving the background a warm gray. Perfect for bleeding in a fleshy pink into the forms into the center.

Here are the only in-progress pics that I managed to capture before finish:

  1. And osso...capturing the skeletal feel of the grey structures and marrow-like textures.

  2. Shhh.... you're giving it away ;-)
